Location and Facilities:

The Summer Institute will be held on the beautiful campus of Smith college, Northampton, MA.

You can explore the walks down by Paradise Pond and the Mill River orwander through the impressive greenhouse. It’s an easy stroll into downtown Northampton, which is renowned for its many restaurants as well as its arts and entertainment. It was named “Number One Best Small Arts Town in America” by AmericanStyle magazine. Wireless internet is available throughout the campus, but please be advised that for reliable access to the internet in the dorms it would be best to bring an ethernet cable as well.

Transportation:

Academic and professional development credit is available through the UMass-Amherst Continuing education Department. Earn 3 undergraduate or graduate credits; 67.5 Professional Development Points; or 6.75 Continuing Education Units.

Fees:

The fee for tuition, classroom materials and room and board is $900. A limited number of scholarships are available and we do our best to make sure that the cost does not prevent people from coming. A payment plan is an option. Please note that our scholarships do not cover transportation costs.
